Admission
For most of our programmes, there are two routes of admission through which you can join the school and develop your artistic potential: the workshop – which includes an integrated audition – and the direct audition.
Please note that these admission routes do not apply to the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Acting. For specific entry requirements for this programme, we invite you to consult the dedicated BA page.
For non-EU students, a dedicated contact point is available to provide guidance and support throughout the application process.
One of the admission routes to Cours Florent is through participation in an intensive workshop, available in English, French, Spanish, or German.
Over the course of a one-week acting intensive, participants work as part of an ensemble under the guidance of a Cours Florent tutor. These workshops are open to anyone aged 17 and over, regardless of previous acting experience. They provide a valuable introduction to the school’s teaching methods, as well as insight into the expectations of the three-year programme.
Throughout the week, participants are assessed on a range of key skills, including their ability to engage with new methodologies, openness to feedback, listening skills, creative curiosity, and capacity for collaboration.
At the end of the workshop, participants present their work in a showcase attended by a member of the permanent teaching staff. Each participant subsequently receives an individual assessment, including detailed feedback on their progress.
Observing a participant’s development over several days enables Cours Florent to gain a well-rounded understanding of both their current level and their potential for growth. Depending on their performance, candidates may be invited to join the school the following September.
This approach to admissions ensures a fair and thorough evaluation process, while also allowing participants to determine whether the training aligns with their personal goals and expectations.
Applicants with prior professional acting experience, or who have completed at least one year of training at a recognised drama school, may apply for entry to the programme through a private audition by appointment. To arrange this, please contact the admissions team directly at admissions@ggeedu.fr
Please note that candidates who complete a workshop in one language but wish to enrol in a programme delivered in another will be required to undertake an additional audition in that language.
Non-EU applicants or European candidates who are unable to travel to Paris to attend a workshop, may apply through the international admissions process. To arrange this, please contact the admissions team directly at admissions@ggeedu.fr
Applicants will be required to complete an application form and submit a personal statement outlining any previous experience and their interest in theatre and film, along with any relevant supporting documents. Selected candidates will then be invited to take part in an online interview and audition.
